John took to Instagram to announce that his fifth book, Saffron in the Souks, will be published in May 2019.
He spent several months travelling all over Lebanon researching the book, collecting recipes from homes he stayed in and stories of the people he met along his journey.
"From the zaatar stern fields of Nabatieth in the South to the Roman ruins of Baalbek, through the mighty Beak Valley, over the Chouf Mountains and along the glistening coastline from beautiful Beirut to the ancient Phoenician part of Tripoli. The book is a stunning look at the food of Lebanon, a truly spectacular country with an incredible cuisine."
