Cinders Paxton and the Gauchos

Anthropologist, Travel journalist, documentary photographer Cinders Paxton has just completed an epic trip with the Argentinian Gauchos.

Each year, the gauchos of Northern Argentina gather to parade through the city of Salta in commemoration of the great General Guemes. This year, they were joined by a Welsh outsider.

With the best Gaucho contacts of any foreigner and three years of living in the region under her belt, Cinders has well and truly managed to get under the skin of these fascinating and notoriously impentrable group of people to understand what makes them tick.
